What are GiftCards4Less Highest Unique Blind Bid Gift Card Auctions?
Our Highest Unique Bid Auctions differ from traditional auctions. In a traditional auction, the goal is to submit the highest overall bid. The bidder with the highest overall bid wins the auction and is able to purchase the auction item for an amount equal to his/her highest overall bid.
With our Highest Unique Bid Auctions, the goal is to submit the Highest Unique Bid. The bidder with the Highest Unique Bid wins the auction and is able to purchase the gift card for an amount equal to his/her Highest Unique Bid.
The Highest Unique Bid is determined by two requirements. The Highest Unique Bid is a bid amount that is both:
(1) Highest - a bid amount submitted closest to (and may be equal to) the maximum bid amount ("Max. Bid Amount") for the
Auction; and
(2) Unique - a bid amount submitted where no other bidder has bid the exact same amount.
How do the GiftCards4Less Highest Unique Blind Bid Gift Card Auctions work?
Each Highest Unique Bid Auction has its own Bid Fee, maximum bid amount ("Max. Bid Amount"), maximum number of bids per person ("Max. # of Bids per Person"), and Bids Required to Close as seen in the Auction below:
The Bid Fee is the amount you will be charged to submit a single bid in an Auction. Each Auction has a Bid Fee of $2/bid, $3/bid, $5/bid, or $9/bid. The Bid Fee will be deducted from your Bidding Account Balance for each bid you submit in the Auction at the time you submit your bid, whether your bid ultimately is a successful winning bid or not.
The Max. Bid Amount listed for an Auction is the maximum amount that you can bid on the gift card being auctioned. Your bid cannot exceed the Max. Bid Amount set for that Auction. You must submit your bid in United States dollars and cents equal to or less than the Max. Bid Amount, down to as low as $0.01. (Zero and negative bid amounts are not allowed.)
Our low maximum bid amounts keep the bid amounts low, which in turn keeps the purchase price of the gift cards low. The winning bidder is able to purchase the gift card for an amount equal to his/her Highest Unique Bid, which will never exceed the Max. Bid Amount set for that Auction.
Example: The Max. Bid Amount for our $500 Best Buy Highest Unique Bid Gift Card Auction is $8.00. Therefore, $8.00 is the maximum amount that you can bid on the $500 gift card. Your bid cannot exceed the $8.00 Max. Bid Amount set for that Auction. You must submit your bid equal to or less than the $8.00 Max. Bid Amount, down to as low as $0.01. If you are deemed the winning bidder at the close of the Auction, you will be able to purchase the gift card for an amount equal to your Highest Unique Bid, which will not exceed the $8.00 Max. Bid Amount set for the Auction.
The Max. # of Bids per Person listed for an Auction is the total number of bids you can submit in that Auction. The Max. # of Bids per Person is calculated so that the Bid Fees you incur total no more than 75% of the face value of the gift card that is being auctioned. This helps all bidders establish a budget and bid responsibly.
The Bids Required to Close represents the total number of bids submitted that must be accepted by GiftCards4Less before the Auction closes. Each Auction immediately closes when the Bids Required to Close the Auction are reached.
To participate in our Highest Unique Bid Auctions, you must:
(1) Register by completing our GiftCards4Less Auction Registration Form;
(2) Deposit funds into your Bidding Account in order to start submitting bids in any of our Auctions; and
(3) Submit your bid in any open Auction equal to or less than the Max. Bid Amount for that Auction, down to as low as $0.01. Once you have submitted your bid, you will see the Bids Remaining for that Auction (i.e., the total number of bids that must still be submitted before the Auction can close). You will also get immediate feedback as to whether your bid is a unique bid or a duplicate bid via "Your Bidding History for This Auction." Your Bidding History will show the date and time of your bid, the amount of your bid, and the current status of your bid as a highest unique bid, unique bid, highest duplicate bid, or duplicate bid.
Note that during an open Auction, the Highest Unique Bid may frequently change as additional bidders submit their bids. Also note that the status of a bidder's unique bid could change to a duplicate bid at any time if any other bidder bids the exact same amount.
The Highest Unique Bid is a bid amount that is both:
(1) Highest - a bid amount submitted closest (or equal) to the Max. Bid Amount for the Auction; and
(2) Unique - a bid amount submitted where no other bidder has bid the exact same amount.
Example: The Max. Bid Amount is $8.00 for our $500 Best Buy Highest Unique Bid Gift Card Auction with a $5 Bid Fee. The Auction requires 204 bids to close. You submit several bids during the course of the Auction. At the close of the Auction, one of your bids that you submitted at $7.97 is determined to be the Highest Unique Bid. As the winning bidder, you may purchase the $500 Best Buy gift card for $7.97! Once GiftCards4Less receives your $7.97 payment, the $500 Best Buy gift card will be shipped to you at your PayPal Confirmed Shipping Address free of charge!!
Are the gift cards auctioned in the GiftCards4Less Highest Unique Blind Bid Gift Card Auctions new?
All gift cards offered for sale via our Highest Unique Bid Auctions are brand new, top-name gift cards. We never offer "
used" or previously owned gift cards on our Auction website. We are the sole owners of all gift cards offered for sale.
